Data science and AI solutions company Tredence has launched the Milky Way, a multi-agent, multi-turn decision system designed to help enterprises make faster, autonomous decisions using AI agents.

The platform introduces more than 15 prebuilt agents for business roles and over 50 specialised agents trained on real-world enterprise scenarios. These agents act as digital co-workers across functions, including marketing, supply chain, customer analytics, shopper insights and product lifecycle management.

Technical agents, such as text-to-SQL, anomaly detection and report generation, support business operations by handling data-intensive tasks.

According to Tredence, early deployments in retail, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications and healthcare have shown a five-fold improvement in time-to-insight and 50%  lower analytics costs. A global retailer reportedly cut manual effort in merchandising operations by 60% through assortment planning and pricing optimisation. Healthcare organisations used the system to automate patient data aggregation and triage.

“The enterprise AI landscape is shifting from tools to teammates,” Shub Bhowmick, CEO and co-founder of Tredence, said. “The real challenge isn’t building smarter models, it’s building systems that understand context, adapt to complexity, and drive meaningful outcomes. With Milky Way, we’ve taken a different path, creating agents that reason through problems, connect the dots, and act with purpose.”

The company said Milky Way is built with enterprise-grade flexibility and security, including audit trails, role-based access and integration with existing data platforms. Agents use domain-specific knowledge and improve through a proprietary evaluation framework.

“What sets Milky Way apart is its focus on delivering business outcomes rather than technical sophistication,” Sumit Mehra, chief technology officer and co-founder of Tredence, said. “Our agents don’t just process data, they understand business context, maintain decision history and scale insights without scaling teams.”

The launch follows Tredence’s recent recognition as a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Customer Analytics Services, Q2 2025, its naming as an Emerging Visionary by Gartner, and partner awards from Databricks, Google Cloud and Snowflake.
