Bud Ecosystem, the generative AI software stack company, partnered with NxtGen to make GenAI more accessible and affordable for Indian businesses. The partnership aims to remove two major hurdles companies face, including high infrastructure costs and a lack of in-house AI expertise.
Under the agreement, Bud’s AI Foundry will be integrated into NxtGen’s cloud platform. This enables businesses to manage GenAI workloads through a single, easy-to-use interface, eliminating the need to deal with multiple tools for performance, security, compliance, and analytics.
“Most organisations that lack on-premises AI hardware have been forced to choose between the premium pricing of global cloud providers—often prohibitive for mid-market players—and the complexity of building bespoke AI clusters in-house,” Linson Joseph, CSO of Bud Ecosystem, said.
He further noted that the alliance combines Bud’s software, optimised for cost-efficient infrastructure use, with NxtGen’s competitively priced sovereign cloud services. This creates a third option: a pay-as-you-go GenAI environment that offers model-as-a-service features and outcome-based pricing. The solution aims to be more cost-effective while providing enterprise-grade performance.
It will also include Bud’s inference stack for deploying large language models (LLMs), pre-built AI agents for everyday business tasks, and a catalogue of compact models for enterprise and edge use.
NxtGen recently launched ‘M’, an open AI platform positioned as India’s alternative to ChatGPT. Powered by Bud Stack, “M” is hosted on NxtGen’s sovereign cloud and promises secure, high-performance AI without vendor lock-in.
Both companies will also invest in creating India-focused language models and AI agents for sectors like finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and e-commerce. These models will be tailored to local regulations, languages, and workflows.
