Snowflake has opened a new office at The Square, Vittal Mallya Road in Bengaluru, expanding its India presence after launching a new facility in Mumbai earlier this year.
“This is our commitment to innovation, collaboration and building a thriving community of data professionals in one of India’s most dynamic tech hubs,” Vijayant Rai, managing director at Snowflake India, said in a LinkedIn post.
The Bengaluru office will serve as a central hub for teams and customers to work on data and AI projects. “The new office will be a vibrant hub for our teams to connect, create and drive impact for our customers across India and beyond,” he added.
Rai thanked its employees, partners and the local ecosystem for enabling the milestone. “A big thank you to everyone who made this possible: our global and India teams, partners and the local ecosystem. Your support and belief in our vision continue to inspire us.”
He also highlighted the company’s focus on hiring in the region. “We look forward to welcoming more brilliant minds into our Bengaluru office as we grow, learn and build the future of data together.”India has become a key market for Snowflake, which plans to increase its local workforce to at least 700 employees by the end of 2025. The expansion is expected to strengthen customer engagement and talent development in one of the country’s largest technology hubs. Bengaluru will complement the company’s Mumbai operations, reflecting its wider strategy to deepen its footprint in India.
