In a surprising turn of events, Intel announced the immediate departure of CEO Pat Gelsinger, marking the end of a tumultuous three-year tenure that saw the company’s stock decline by over 50%.  Tensions over the company's strategic direction have been brewing behind the scenes for some time now.
