A study by AIMResearch shows that the number of data science/analytics jobs in April 2022 saw a 30.1% jump compared to last year (April 2021). Not just that, even the median salary of these data scientists in India has increased to INR 16.8 lakhs per annum, a surge of 25.4% compared to 2021. Data science continues to be an in-demand and lucrative profession, with many aspirants making a beeline for it. However, for several reasons, hiring the right talent for the analytics profession continues to be a challenge.  In fact, it's a challenge for professionals to land the right analytics job, given the extremely competitive environment. The basic requirements to excel in this field include having relevant degrees and of course a good understanding of mathematics, statistics and AI.
