Agnikul Cosmos Launches India’s Second Private Rocket, Agnibaan SOrTeD

The launch of Agnibaan SOrTeD scheduled for April 7, was postponed just 129 seconds before lift-off due to technical glitches.
In a significant milestone for India's private space industry, Chennai-based startup Agnikul Cosmos successfully launched its Agnibaan SubOrbital Technological Demonstrator (SOrTeD) rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Thursday. The launch, which took place at 8:12 am, marks India's first launch from a private launchpad and the world's first single-piece 3D printed engine designed and built indigenously. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) congratulated Agnikul Cosmos on the successful launch, calling it "a major milestone, as the first-ever controlled flight of a semi-cryogenic liquid engine realized through additive manufacturing".
