Zoho has introduced an upgraded version of Zoho Scanner, its AI-powered scanning application designed to deliver an enhanced and connected document management experience for both individuals and enterprises.
The Scanner goes beyond conventional scanning by embedding artificial intelligence into the workflow. The app can automatically detect document edges, enhance image quality, remove background noise, and extract text with improved accuracy using its built-in optical character recognition (OCR).
Multi-language support has been expanded to cover more than 22 global and regional languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, and Urdu. This enables users across various sectors, including businesses and government offices, to instantly translate vernacular documents within the app.
The updated application also introduces an AI-powered organisation through automatic tagging and categorisation of document types, enabling smoother digital filing.
As part of Zoho’s broader productivity suite, Zoho Scanner claims to ensure cross-platform synchronisation between mobile devices and the web, bridging the mobile-to-PC workflow gap. A redesigned user interface, it says, makes navigation simpler, while upcoming features such as support for multiple document formats like invoices, certificates, IDs, and business cards are expected to strengthen its use cases.
Integration with other Zoho products, including CRM, WorkDrive, and Expense, is also on the roadmap. Zoho emphasised that the app reflects its commitment to privacy-first, AI-driven innovation.
While Zoho is not planning to compete with the likes of ChatGPT, updates such as this should help streamline business processes further and automate repetitive tasks.
Zoho Scanner Pro is priced at ₹999 annually, with a 50% discount available on annual plans until December 15, 2025. The app is available on iOS, Android, and web platforms.
