Lytus Acquires Blod.in, Pledges ₹1,000 Cr to Boost AI and HealthTech

Blod.in reduced average blood procurement time from several hours to just 90-120 minutes in its test phase

Lytus Technologies, a global platform services company with 4 million users, has announced the acquisition of Blod.in, India’s first AI-powered, on-demand blood logistics platform for hospitals and blood banks.

Currently operational in Chennai, Blod.in has scaled from serving 30 to 140 hospitals in the past year, clocking a 20% month-on-month growth.

During its pilot phase, Blod.in claims to have reduced the average blood procurement time from several hours to just 90-120 minutes, a game-changer in a country facing an annual blood deficit of 650,000 units.

The acquisition aims to advance AI and ML powered solutions across Lytus HealthTech, including Blod.in’s AI engine, which optimises blood inventory forecasting, real-time supply-demand mapping and last-mile routing intelligence for temperature-sensitive deliveries.

Lytus has committed ₹1,000 crore over the next three years to scale operations, both organically and inorganically. The investment will enhance AI and ML integrations across the HealthTech portfolio, with a key focus on Agentic AI.

“Healthcare presents a powerful intersection of business growth and societal impact,” said Dharmesh Pandya, CEO of Lytus Technologies. “We’re building scalable solutions that integrate advanced AI and Agentic AI to improve blood and medical logistics, streamline workflows, and enhance patient outcomes across India and beyond.”

Through co-developed protocols, live data integrations, and shared dashboards, the company is creating a real-time, AI-enabled healthcare ecosystem.

“Our AI model enables proactive collaboration, ensuring every unit of blood and every patient is accounted for with precision,” said Sai Guna Ranjan Puranam, COO of Lytus HealthTech.
